I directed a 3 minute mobile short film that made to the top 12 finalists out of 30 plus entries in the Cinemalaya 2018’s – Nespresso Vertical Shorts category.
Short summary
Kapit Lang is a story about two friends, Lu and Mark who faces common life problems and each character faced things in complete different ways.
Description
I was the director and screenwriter of Kapit Lang. I started writing the story since 2018 but only got a chance to fully complete it on 2018. My production manager, Hannah Mata, was the one who gave me the opportunity on joining the film festival.
There were a lot of obstacles to face while making this short. Like, monetary, locations, crew, and production materials. Despite all these challenges, I am proud that we made it to the top 12.
I posted my work on my Facebook page and it went viral last 2018. It has 420 thousand views as of 2022. Even though I didn’t make it to the top 3, I am happy and humbled that people loved my film, and I was able to touch people’s hearts through my film.
